Dr. Salazar's Bio...

Meet Dr. Sean Salazar......

A HUMBLE CHILDHOOD

Dr. Sean Salazar's passion to succeed in life came from a most unexpected place: the housing projects of Seattle.

Sean was one of five children raised by a single mother in Seattle's low-income Holly Park neighborhood. Growing up in a Hispanic and African-American family, it was and is inherently natural for him to understand and appreciate racial and cultural differences. He strived to overcome the challenges of his childhood environment by creating his own success story, and today he serves as an inspiration to those who desire a better life, regardless of their current circumstances.

SEAN'S MILITARY LIFE

After graduating from Seattle's Cleveland High School in 1984, Sean found his way to what he fondly calls his second familythe U.S. Navy. His experiences on tours of duty in the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf afforded Sean a broader perspective of life. Seeing liberty restricted and opportunities limited in other countries deepened his appreciation for America and the freedoms we enjoy. After Sean was honorably discharged in 1989, he then served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and began pursuing a degree in engineering.

FROM STUDENT TO DOCTOR

While attending college, a major health setback in Sean's life turned out to be his next success story. Sean experienced a traumatic back injury and the chiropractor who treated Sean was so inspiring to him, that he chose to change his career path so he too could help people who were injured or in pain. Sean graduated a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from Palmer West Chiropractic College in 1996. As a small business owner and medical professional, Sean was directly involved in the healthcare industry. During this time, Sean was one of the first doctors to test market the HMO model of healthcare delivery. Through his many years of experience, and as a current Medicare provider, Sean understands the critical nature of the doctor-patient relationship which is the foundation for Sean's healthcare platform.

Like Sean, his wife, Jasmin Contreras-Salazar, is also a veteran. Jasmin served in the U.S. Army in Iraq. They are both staunch supporters of our troops and advocate for active duty service personnel and veterans through their membership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Sean continues to work in his medical practice where he specializes in Sports Injury Chiropractic Care.
